VOCALOID2 Notes – Parameter Adjustments


These parameters greatly affect the sound of your project.

VEL Velocity

Affects ‘su’ and ‘fu’ the most. Difficult to tell effect.

HIGH FASTER CONSONANT PRONUNCIATION (MORE DYNAMIC)
LOW SLOWER CONSONANT PRONUNCIATION (LESS DYNAMIC)

DYN Dynamic

Draw unequal ‘V’s, with steep slope in beginning and a more gradual slope after the minimum point. This often mimics a person’s real voice. Can be drawn whereever there needs to be a new note pronounced.

GEN Gender Factor

LOW Make singer sound younger
HIGH Make singer sound older

HIGH MERGES NOTES AND TAKES FIRST NOTE’S PITCH IN SECOND
LOW

PIT Pitch

25% +/- DEFAULT PBS GIVES HALF AN OCTAVE UP/DOWN

Multiplier for pitch setting
