VOCALOID2 Notes – Simulating Breathing

You can add breathing to simulate breathing in songs on VOCALOID2

To do this, it is suggested that you create a new track in your current project in VOCALOID2. Just turn the ‘Overlay’ option on to see the other track when working on the breathing track.

Simply create any new note where you want the breathing to occur. Only duration matters here, not how high or low the note is. Then change the note phonetic to br1/br2/br3/br4/br5 by going into ‘Note Properties’.

br1 to br5 represent a range of different breathing styles. br1 sounds like breathing through the nose, while br5 sounds like breathing through the mouth. You can even mix up the breathing by having one after another.

Increase DYN setting to make the breathing louder or quieter.
